To my Darling Grandchildren,

Despite being an active Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace campaigner for around fifty years my darlings our civilisation is so far failing you.

I am very frightened indeed for you.

We have inherited a stunning planet that could, with the right policies, keep us all safe.

But our leaders are not yet backing the right policies to protect the natural world and all species, including us.

Prince Charles' Terra Carta (Earth Charter) for Nature, People and Planet is still not being put into place.

Warnings are being ignored and atmospheric gas-chambering continues.

Deadly industries have knowingly lied about their product for fifty years and humanity is mostly kept environmentally illiterate. Leaders are failing to lead and our Global Incineration Event continues.

These industries should be made to pay for the harm they are doing. Instead they are being promoted as solutions.

Greenwash, denial, lying media and politics continue to see off your chances of survival.

Thirteen groups from the Climate Genocide Act Now visited police stations 20.11.19 (anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials) to Request to conduct a criminal investigation and charge four people for crimes committed under the International Criminal Court Act 2001.

I went with a group to Bournemouth Police Station who eventually, after a long conversation, accepted our dossier online.

But nothing has happened. No arrests have been made of those complicit with mass murder.

Apart from those calling attention to the extinction and ecological crises by non-violent direct action. They are being arrested (vicars, doctors, scientists, teachers etc)
Some folk have undertaken hunger strikes. Some have immolated themselves.

Our planetary boundaries are failing and we are warned of Code Red for Humanity and only a couple of years to turn the nose of the Titanic.

There is a lot of work associated with the attempt to prosecute senior politicians under Article 30 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. I feel a responsibility to ensure all government minister have been warned of the implications for themselves and their staff.

HEADING: Dossier of evidence submitted to the Metropolitan Police: Crimes against humanity and genocide
HEADING: Implications for you and your staff
A dossier of evidence showing that UK and international criminal law has been broken by four senior British politicians has been submitted to The Met Police. We seek a criminal investigation. This is in connection with the policies that drive climate breakdown and contribute to killing approximately 400,000 people a year and will soon kill millions every year.
I am sure you are aware that the Committee on Climate Change has warned of the risk of extreme disruption to UK food supplies and you are aware of evidence that extreme weather events are now killing several thousand UK citizens. You will also be aware that the IPCC, UN, WHO and various other bodies warn hundreds of millions or billions could be killed over the coming decades. The dossier of evidence provides the scientific evidence and examples of the policies that cause death by driving climate breakdown.

Key to the attempt to prosecute is Article 30 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (see Annex attached) and the International Criminal Court Act 2001. You will see Article 30 deals with the crime of ‘oblique intent’, which clearly applies in the case of the policies that kill by causing climate breakdown.
An excuse often used is that other nations or individuals intend to continue to pollute, but that will not stand up in a court of law. No one has a legal right to facilitate or be complicit in the crimes. This applies to you and your staff.
If you cannot secure new government policies to ban luxury, non-essential activities and decarbonise all sectors as fast as humanly possible, you must resign. Current policies show a refusal to ban unnecessary activities and a determination to decarbonise at a rate deemed to be convenient, rather than at a pace intended to avoid appalling loss of life.
