Well, Hello!
I am hopeful that your health is good and you have now retired as you had planned. I hope that the leaders of the world have finally woken up to the reality of climate change and that there are now some serious plans in place to tackle it. I really also hope that things didn’t have to deteriorate too badly after writing this letter and that there were not too many more disasters as a result of the previous decades of inaction. Unfortunately, I’m not very optimistic that this will have happened. I can only hope that the extinction of many species was prevented.
