Philippa Meek's Letter

To my nephew Johann,

I hope as you are reading this as a grown up that you are living in a world that has already changed radically to combat and even reverse climate change. I hope you are not looking back at this generation and wondering how the politicians could have been so blinkered to cause life on this planet to decline despite clear science. I hope that oil and gas stopped being taken out of the ground many years ago, and that such practices are now seen as abhorrent. I hope that vehicles and homes are all powered by renewable energy, and the much more of the earth has been turned into protected areas and parks.
