to my daughter, Eloise,

Dear Eloise,
I won't be here to see what happens to our beautiful planet in 50 years time, but I pray, and will pray for ever, that you survive the climate change which is coming, without in any way contributing to it. I know you love history, particularly stories about brave women, and I know you are brave too. I hope you will have a lovely green garden somewhere in the country, or near to it and continue to enjoy friendships with other caring people, perhaps even finding someone to share your life with.
