Lizzie's Letter

To my neice, Joanna,

I hope that you are growing up in a world where natural disasters are a rarity so that you do not have to witness the suffering of humans in vulnerable communities.

I wish that you are in a world full of wonder for the variety and abundance that it holds. That you get to look up to see a cloud of butterflies overhead and hear the beautiful sound of a morning chorus.

Most of all I hope that you are in a world where people are looking after our planet for the future of all species. Where we live in harmony with nature as we are a part of it.
