Juliet's Letter

To my future self,

Climate Change has been a hot topic for almost 30 years now, since the introduction of the United Nations Climate Change Conferences / Conference of the Parties (COP) and more recently, the Paris Agreement that was agreed in 2015 binding developed countries to a treaty of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
I personally attended COP26 a couple of years ago to march & campaign for the wealthiest, least affected and mostly responsible countries, to pay a climate debt to the poorer countries more affected by our actions (or failure to act).
Yet it still just seems like a lot of words & empty promises have been bandied about. So I ask that this be one of the last letters we have to write as a society of people who care enough to keep making noise on the subject, and that come 2030 there will have been tangible change.
