Jen's Letter
To my nephew, Cormac,
I want the world you're now living in as you head towards your adult life, to be full of hope and love, with our politicians committed to a vision of sustainable life on earth, and for us all to have a renewed sense of responsibility and stewardship for our environment.
I see less and less people eating meat every day or even every week, and our food security and agriculture recalibrated along sustainable lines; our countryside farmed and managed with biodiversity in mind; our gardens full of wildflowers and creatures; our energy increasingly provided through sustainable sources; our businesses' success measured not by growth but by contribution to the creation of a transformed relationship to our world.
Although at the moment the outlook seems bleak, I will do all I can to make this future a reality.
