Future generations,
As I write this letter during the Great Big Green Week, I hope this week serves as a turning point in history that marks the beginning of a truly greener and more sustainable world.
My hope for you is that you live in a world where the natural beauty and diversity of our planet are cherished and protected. I dream of a future where lush forests, vibrant coral reefs, and vast ecosystems thrive, providing habitats for countless species.
I envision a world where the air is clean, the rivers and oceans are pollution-free, and the land is preserved for generations to enjoy.
I hope for a future where sustainable practices are deeply ingrained in every aspect of society, with renewable energy powering our homes, cities, and industries, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and minimising our carbon footprint.
I want to see communities flourishing with sustainable agriculture and responsible consumption. I dream of a society where organic farming and local food systems are the norms and long for a future where waste is minimised and recycling, reusing, and repurposing become second nature to all.
As I reflect on these hopes and aspirations, I am filled with a sense of urgency. The challenges we face are immense, but I have faith in the resilience of future generations. I urge you to carry the torch of sustainability, be bold in your actions, and hold steadfast in your commitment to a greener world.
With hope and determination, Ash
