Melanie's Letter

To the future earth,

I hope you're still green, i hope you're still blue. I hope you're still full of biodiversity and love as you are today, if not more.

I am grateful for the air that i breath and the earth that we all walk on. You are our reason for living, for experiencing things and loving things. I am grateful that i get to experience and love you now, before climate change gets worse, before you crumble and change, before i die.

Thank you for allowing us to use you, thank you for the trees and plants that let us breath, for the beautiful animals you have provided for us. I am sorry for the people who could never see how beautiful you are and don't care to save you. you have given your life to us and many people will give theirs back.

i hope all of our future children and grandchildren can walk on the same earth i did, but only if we help now. i'm sorry for the people that didn't help you when you're always there for them.
