A Friendly Rebel's Letter

To my future self,

How many people have died? How many people are suffering? Is it really as bad as they are saying? I want to believe it will all be okay; but I can’t. If only you could write a letter back and tell me what to do. How can I prevent it? Are my efforts well-directed, or am I barking at the moon? I guess I can only do my best – that much I can promise – even if it is futile in the end. I hope we haven’t left it too late.
